The extraction of zinc ore has long been the lifeblood of the Arres and Bossòst regions. At the beginning of the last century, the Victòria mine alone produced around 80 tonnes of raw ore per day, thanks to the work of a hundred miners. Reopened to the public in 2004, this mining operation has now been transformed into a museum where one can contemplate the machine room, the scales or the workers' house and discover the different methods of exploiting the ore. A fine tribute to the hard work that made the region proud.
