Chatel, the small resort with big ambitions

Located just one kilometre from the Franco-Swiss border, the small resort in the French Alps has more than one string to its bow to compete with its big sisters and attract investors.

Small in size but large in terms of its ski area, Chatel naturally attracts winter sports enthusiasts who come to enjoy a rustic and authentic Haute-Savoie atmosphere, a village preserved from the crowds and bustle of the big resorts. And at the same time, the possibilities offered by one of the largest ski areas in Europe, the Portes du Soleil region. No concessions are expected from experienced skiers who can link Chatel on skis to Avoriaz on the French area or to Morgins and Torgon on the Swiss area.
