With children

If you plan to go to the Alps with your children, Val d'Isere will certainly meet your expectations.

When you are on a family holiday, the ideal thing would be to ensure that the little ones enjoy the good times as much as the adults. The Val d'Isere resort has been awarded the "Family Plus" label and offers several dedicated areas that may suit you.

Consider, among others, the Snow Garden, an excellent choice for your children to be introduced to skiing gently. Two play areas are available: on the snow front and at La Daille. The objective is to allow them to evolve in a safe environment from 3 to 4 years old.

Discover also the 4 Val Kids zones (located on the Solaise massif), which are play areas designed for children from 3 to 10 years old. This is an exciting way to enjoy special family moments while accompanying the little ones in their first skiing experiences.

To combine fun with a change of scenery, why not go to emblematic places like the Lost Village? There, the blue runs of Criterium and Diebold await you. Accessible only by ski, this site will undoubtedly delight your children with its cabins and deckchairs - perfect for creating beautiful memories in the Alps, surrounded by the larch trees of the Étroits forest.

The Eldorado for snow activity enthusiasts

One of the best things about Val d'Isere is the variety of attractions. You can certainly ski the best slopes in the area. However, there are also many non-skiing activities.

If you are looking for a new skiing sensation, think of the Snooc (accessible from the snow front entrance). It is halfway between skiing and sledging. Either way, it's a decidedly easy and fun way to make great runs, without being an expert skier.

You can also visit the outdoor ice rink in Val d'Isere, which opens from 10am to 6pm. Perfectly suited to beginners and children, this is an ideal choice for enjoying the pleasure of sliding on ice.

Of course, this does not prevent you from indulging in more original activities. In front of the Aquasportif Centre, you will find an electric mini-snowmobile circuit. Ride with your family and explore the unspoilt environment of Val d'Isere without compromising it.

An equally interesting alternative is to opt for the MoonBike. This is mainly a ride on a snow e-scooter (ideally with an instructor). This way you can conquer the mountain in a fun and fast way.

The beautiful "cross-country friendly" resort

Avoriaz, Megeve, Lac Blanc, etc., the French Alps are full of emblematic places that enjoy unparalleled popularity throughout the year. The resort of Val d'Isere is no exception.

In fact, the area caters for all tastes and abilities. If you are for example looking for the right resort for cross-country skiing, Val d'Isere will surely convince you.

To do this, find the best equipped trails in the Manchet valley. Do you want to go further up the mountain? Go to the Lac de l'Ouillette. At the same time, let yourself be immersed in the wilderness and the breathtaking panorama that will surprise you every time. Beginners and experienced skiers alike will easily find their happiness.

Cross-country skiing is an excellent way to discover the most beautiful landscapes of the village and the mountain range. You will not only have the opportunity to improve your technique, but also to discover a vast playground for one of the key activities offered by the resort of Val d'Isere.

One of the best sites for off-piste skiing

The Tignes - Val d'Isere ski area is renowned for the quality of its slopes. Among their main assets are the vast surface area available, the ease of use and the presence of ski lifts.

An interesting feature of Val d'Isere is the fact that the resort has sites dedicated to off-piste skiing. This is a must-see destination for nature lovers, experienced athletes and natural explorers who want to push their limits.

Amongst the most famous slopes is the Grand Vallon, perched above Le Fornet. This remains a classic off-piste ski run for any stay in Val d'Isere. What's in store for you? A descent from the top of the Signal ski lifts, perched at an altitude of 2,920 m, to the edge of the Isere at an altitude of 1,920 m.

If you are a thrill-seeker, you will also enjoy tackling the Super S off-piste with its wide slope. Opposite the Rocher de Bellevarde and close to the Rocher de Solaise, you will have all the more opportunity to admire the magnificent landscape offered by the charming village of Val d'Isere.

For family adventures, on the other hand, choose the off-piste "La Familiale" which allows the most beautiful outings with children. A 900m slope with a relatively easy level and no obstacles awaits you at the top of the Tommeuses chairlift.
