What we like about Val d’Isère
Each year, Val d'Isere welcomes tourists, families, and experienced athletes. The resort is an excellent example of a Savoyard village and offers a fantastic playground for anyone looking for a memorable mountain holiday.
Val d'Isere has grown and improved since 1930. It hosted the first Alpine skiing World Cup in 1955 and the 1992 Albertville Olympic Games. When you book a ski holiday here, you can try the same slopes as the top athletes.
The village shares the Tignes – Val d'Isère ski area with neighbouring Tignes, offering around 300 kilometres of runs suitable for all skill levels. In Val d'Isère, skiing starts at about 1,850 metres, and the highest point, the Pissaillas Glacier at 3,456 metres, provides excellent snow conditions and vast open terrain.
