What we love about Combloux

With its skiable area, its accessibility and its spectacular natural setting, Combloux is a resort blessed by the ski gods. By staying in this Haute-Savoie village, you will benefit from the best (and nothing but the best) of the French Alps.

It would be difficult to find an area in which Combloux does not excel, as this Haute-Savoie resort ticks all the boxes for an absolutely perfect mountain holiday. Located only 1 hour from Geneva and its airport and very easy to access by train via the Sallanches-Combloux-Megeve station, this charming village resort knows how to make itself inviting to visitors. The warm welcome that you will receive from this resort, as well as the stunning panoramic views over the Mont Blanc, Aravis, Fiz and Aiguilles Rouges won’t deny how idyllic this resort is.

Combloux is a mountain destination perfect for winter and summer. This resort is also at the forefront of welcoming people with disabilities and is particularly suitable for children, as certified by the Famille Plus label.

When it comes to skiing, the resort is integrated into two large ski areas: Portes du Mont Blanc with 100 km of slopes spread between Combloux, Jaillet and La Giettaz; and Evasion Mont Blanc which counts with 300 km of slopes coming from the resorts of Megeve, Saint-Gervais and Les Contamines. It's an à-la-carte offer which allows you to ski a little or a lot, according to your level, your desires and the duration of your stay.

A resort full of imagination

Combloux has sports and cultural infrastructures capable of entertaining its visitors in all seasons and can count on its neighbours, Megeve and Saint-Gervais, to complete its indoor and outdoor leisure offer.

There is never a dull moment in Combloux! The village is particularly inventive in leading guests to multiply their experiences. The calendar of events is filled with great surprises such as sound and light shows about the stories and legends of Combloux and the Mont Blanc region, night-time ski touring trips lit by headlamps, soapbox races for the little ones or giant Cluedo games at a farm.

The more sporty ones can take part in ski races, themed hikes or simply admire the greatest mountain bike champions during the MB Race, the most difficult mountain bike race in the world, which takes place at the beginning of July between Combloux and Megeve.

Combloux, a dynamic village resort, also benefits from the effervescence of its two prestigious neighbours, Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc and Megeve, which enables it to offer an impressive number of activities within the village or in the immediate vicinity, and to attract families, who are sure to find a good time in the mountains.

Granite in the veins

The exploitation of granite in Combloux and more widely in the Mont Blanc massif began in the 19th century and continues to this day. A walking trail called "Les graniteurs" (the granite cutters) allows hikers to learn about the life of the stone cutters.

Victor Hugo's favourite

Already in the 19th century, Combloux knew how to charm its visitors, if we are to believe the words spoken by the famous French poet and writer. For Victor Hugo, Combloux is nothing less than "the pearl of the Alps in its glacier setting".

A new beginning for the biotope water

Combloux was the first destination in France to open an ecological lake for swimming. After 20 years of good and loyal service, it was time to give it a makeover. The total rehabilitation work should be completed by mid-June 2023.
