Made of wood and fine stone, and geared towards high-level sport and culture, Verbier has a lot to offer. Considered the gateway to the 4 Valleys ski area, which includes around ten resorts, this village is unique and has held the title of "World's Best Ski Resort" for two years running.

The village of Verbier is enchanting because of its distinctive, highly homogeneous architecture. When you visit the village, you'll marvel at the succession of chalets built from the finest local materials. Verbier is also a great place to visit some incredible sites, such as the Pierre Avoi, a mountain that is emblematic of the area; the Lac des Vaux; the Louvie hut, hidden away in the heart of the mountains and close to a sublime lake with turquoise reflections; the 3D Parc, which combines a pleasant stroll with an exhibition of works by international artists; and so on.

Known as a freeride paradise, Verbier also offers more than 400 km of pistes accessible to beginners and professionals alike, as well as almost 100 facilities. The Mont-Fort, which dominates the resort at an altitude of 3,330 m, gives access to an exceptional panorama of the Matterhorn, the Combins and the Mont Blanc massif.

The 4 valleys domain

The 4 Vallées ski area encompasses several resorts, including Verbier, Thyon, La Tzoumaz, Veysonnaz, Nendaz and Bruson. In total, it has over 410 kilometres of pistes, making it the largest ski area in Switzerland. If you buy the 4 Vallées day pass for CHF 89 (around €93), you can reach the summit of Mont-Fort.

Verbier attracts celebrities

An event not to be missed

The Verbier E-Bike Festival is back for its 7th edition this summer. From around August 10th and for 4 days, the Val de Bagnes and Verbier will be welcoming you to a programme packed with E-Bike experiences: the Bosch E-MTB Challenge, the Val de Bagnes Challenge, a family activity, Discovery Routes, Gourmet Hikes and E-Bike Tests.
