Adrenaline
Mountain walks, ski-joering in winter, aerobatics, pony games, obstacle courses, Anne, the owner of the Equestrian Heart of the 3 Valleys of Meribel, does not lack imagination and enthusiasm to put young and old on horseback. Open all year round. The equestrian centre adapts its activities to the season, age and level of riders for safe enjoyment.

Thanks to the ski lifts, experience the adrenaline of downhill mountain biking without the effort required for the ascent trip. Endurance, coordination and balance are the hallmarks of this activity that can be practised as a family. Several routes are offered from Meribel, and some are shared with hikers for a smooth practice. For the more playful, head to the Bikepark to indulge in the cross-country activity!

Take to the heights to discover Meribel by flying over the 3 Valleys area in a tandem paraglider. In summer, your initiatory tandem flight will take on the appearance of an aerial ride, conducive to the observation of chamois and deer evolving on the territory. In winter, you will need to put on your skis to take off and soar above the snowy slopes of the area—an unforgettable experience, open to all.

Near Meribel, three Via Ferrata routes compete for the favours of practitioners. With its easy and low course, that of La Rosiere has something to seduce families. More robust: the Via Ferrata de la Dent du Burgin is considered the highest in France. Some passages are particularly memorable! Finally, the presence of a guide is mandatory to set off on the Via Ferrata de Pralognan and its zip lines.

The restaurant is a must-have musical atmosphere at the Le 80 brasserie, where the evenings take place to the sound of a guest group, a DJ mix or background music. Customers choose 7 p.m. for a cosy service with lounge music or 9 p.m. for a more festive musical atmosphere. Several times a month, the brasserie welcomes artists from the La Folie Douce club for clubbing evenings and more if affinity.

Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the evenings of yesteryear in this Mecca of Savoyard gastronomy. For more than 25 years, La Kouisena has been talked about in the resort. People come here, of course, to enjoy an authentic raclette or fondue by the fire, but also to enjoy its folklore: waiters in Savoyard outfits, traditional music and all-wood mountain decor—the perfect address to share a moment of conviviality with friends.

According to the Michelin Guide, directed by the starred chef Laurent Azoulay, Ekrin offers cuisine of multiple inspirations, "creative and colourful, fine and delicate", according to the Michelin Guide. Among the specialities that you can taste there are the Meribelloise polenta and the Savoie trout à la Vauclusienne, white mushroom and black truffle, but the menu contains many other great gastronomic discoveries which are sure to delight your palate.
The Farto family owns four delicatessens, two of which are located in Meribel. You will find everything Savoy does the best there: cheeses (Beaufort Alpage, Tomme Fermiere, smoked raclette), cold meats (Savoyard bundles, ham nuts, ancelle), Savoy wines, Genepi and many more. Open in July-August, and during the winter sports season, the Meribel bowling alley has lanes equipped with bumpers to allow children from 3 years old to compete with adults. The biathlon challenge may reveal the Martin Fourcade of tomorrow reserved for children aged 8 to 12! Through a cross-country skiing event and another shooting, budding athletes will learn to combine mental and physical to win the challenge. Appointments are made at the Prosneige ski school in Meribel in groups of up to 5 children. It takes place every Thursday, from the end of December to the end of April.

Is your little adventurer taller than 1m40? Congratulations, he can embark on the incredible Black Forest Mission. The goal: to protect the Windber tribe from the goblin revolt. The little elves will be placed under the command of the sorcerer Galdwick to achieve this and equipped with a helmet and a sledge to hurtle down the 3,400 m of track and negotiate the 28 bends that await them on this themed course. Best of all: tall elves are also admitted!

The animator will accompany children aged 5 to 12 and will learn how to build an igloo, equipped with a headlamp and a good dose of enthusiasm. It is an activity that will make the whole family laugh out loud! Comfortably seated on their sledge, children will discover new sliding sensations by being pulled by a pony. To turn or stop, you will need to demonstrate piloting skills to make yourself understood by your faithful companion. The Pony luge is practised in the quarry of the equestrian centre in complete safety and is accessible to all.

From classic cross-country skiing to skating through biathlon, Nordic skiing occupies a special place in Meribel with 90 km of trails dedicated to practice. Beginner and experienced skiers will inevitably find their happiness among the loops starting from Meribel Mottaret, the slopes of the Altiport forest and the routes linking Meribel to Courchevel. Guides are available for supervised outings to help you progress in an environment chosen for you.
Learn something new
You don't have to be a skilled rider to enjoy a horseback ride in the snow. Novices in the field will be entitled to 30 minutes of career initiation to learn the basics of horseback riding before joining Lake Tueda on horseback. Anne and Agnes, both equestrian tourism guides, will ensure your safety and will be assisted in this by a cavalry rigorously selected for its ability to evolve in the mountains in all weathers.

For even more thrills, why not opt for ski joëring? A ride on the back of a horse is an ideal way to combine the pleasure of skiing with the passion for this hoofed animal. For children, there is also joëring sledging, which is done on the back of a pony.
Of course, you can also choose the snowmobile and take the snowy routes of the resort as soon as you leave your apartment or exceptional chalet. Some circuits are even adapted to the mini snowmobile so that young and old can enjoy the ride in the mountains together.
While this 3 Valleys ski domain is an excellent destination for winter vacations, it also has plenty to offer in the summer. In fact, you will certainly not be tempted to leave the room in your apartment or chalet in Meribel, no matter how comfortable it is.
During your stay in the mountains, you will have the possibility to follow the different hiking trails of the resort. From Meribel-Mottaret (but also from Courchevel), you can reach the summit of the Saulire (at 2 700 m of altitude). This walk will reward you with a breathtaking view of the 3 Vallees and Mont Blanc, and also the surrounding landscape. Also, explore the National Park of Meribel and Nature Reserve which is on the way to the Plagne plateau. Amongst the highlights of this place, the lake of Tueda remains a must.
If you want to take advantage of your stay in Meribel in summer to go cycling, mountain bike and VAE tracks are available. Simply organise your outings according to the routes you want to take. For example, don't miss the ascent of the Col de la Loze (starting from Pas du Lac and accessible from the Meribel-Mottaret ski lifts). At the end of the peak slopes, enjoy the splendid panoramic view that this place offers you.
