The resort

A chic and exclusive resort

Skiing in Les Carroz is an experience that you want to share, but at the same time, you would like to keep to yourself, so that the resort continues to be what it is: an exclusive destination, protected from mass tourism, and that takes the most outstanding care of its visitors.

The pleasure of being together

What we love about Les Carroz d'Araches

Sharing, complicity and exchanges are at the heart of the DNA of Les Carroz: a resolutely family-friendly ski resort.

Experiencing the stunning white landscape of Les Carroz is truly how one envisions a perfect ski holiday. Located in the Grand Massif ski area, this resort is known for its welcoming atmosphere. While it offers excellent ski facilities and a variety of activities both on and off the slopes, similar to other renowned resorts in the French Alps, Les Carroz has a unique charm that captivates families. It embodies authenticity and fosters an enjoyable environment where everyone can spend quality time together.

To preserve the tranquillity of this ski resort in Haute-Savoie, it was essential to move away from large concrete complexes and instead adopt charming chalets and flats that blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. The resort is committed to providing accommodations that make mountain holidays truly unforgettable, ensuring that visitors are welcomed in the best possible way.

A summer and winter resort

As a pioneer winter resort, Les Carroz has never stopped being inventive and dynamic in attracting summer visitors.

Skiing first arrived in Les Carroz in 1936, but the resort village has evolved over the years to meet the growing demand for summer holidays in the mountains. Visitors can enjoy fresh air, a variety of activities, and numerous cultural and sporting events during the warmer months. While hiking and mountain biking remain the primary mountain sports practised in Les Carroz, similar to many other Alpine resorts, the summer events calendar also features orienteering, obstacle courses, and cycling events.

In Les Carroz, everyone is catered to—young and old, athletes and those who want to relax. The resort offers a diverse range of sporting activities, including horse riding, caving, canyoning, white-water rafting, tennis, golf, ice skating, and hang gliding. Additionally, you can enjoy wellness activities at the Aquacîme spa centre and the Mont-Favy leisure centre, both of which are perfect for visiting with children when the temperatures rise. For warm summer evenings, there's nothing better than an open-air concert at the Mountain Voice Festival in July, featuring numerous concerts and musical workshops, as well as the Dahu Festival in August. In Les Carroz, there's never a dull moment!

Fun fact: Les Carroz has the second-longest ski run in France: 14 km of downhill skiing awaits you on the blue run of Les Cascades.
