This season, skiers can enjoy the slopes of Espace Killy from November 30th to the 5th of May.

Why ski at Espace Killy?

Named after three-time Olympic champion Jean-Claude Killy, Espace Killy brings together the ski areas of Tignes and Val d'Isere to the pleasure of winter sports fans.

With 300 km of pistes, modern facilities, and two glaciers, you can be sure to enjoy top-quality skiing.

Espace Killy, better known as the Tignes - Val d'Isere ski area - covers an immense area and boasts an exceptionally rich succession of slopes, making it one of the most beautiful and potent ski areas in the world. This variety of slopes means there's something for everyone, from beginners to the most experienced skiers.

Espace Killy is :

  • An area with a privileged location.

  • Advantageous exposure and an ideal climate for optimum snow cover throughout the season.

  • 821 snow guns spread throughout the resort to maximise snow coverage.

  • An altitude of between 1,550 m and 3,456 m.

  • A maximum vertical drop of 1,906 m.

  • 5 ski touring runs.

  • 3 boardercross runs.

  • 6 Nordic skiing areas.

  • “Naturides" trails, safe but not groomed, for freeride fans.

  • 2 snow parks and freestyle areas.

  • 76 modern ski lifts.

  • 161 downhill ski runs, including :

    • 24 green runs

    • 65 blue runs

    • 40 red runs

    • 32 black runs

Where to ski at Espace Killy?

Espace Killy ski area is the perfect destination for a unique holiday in the Alps. Over the years, it has grown to become one of the largest ski areas in Europe.

When you go skiing at Espace Killy, you'll enjoy vertical drops and a series of slopes on all sides unique to the area and one of a kind in the world.

You'll be able to take on some legendary slopes, on which some of the world's greatest athletes have competed.

The Criterium de la premiere neige, the Olympic Games, the Alpine Skiing World Cup... numerous Alpine skiing competitions have been and still are organised in the area.

At Espace Killy, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to taking on the world's best slopes.

  • The "Face de Bellevarde" Olympic run, which has also hosted the World Ski Championships

  • The Solaise wall

  • The OK - Oreiller-Killy piste

With the kids

At Espace Killy, children are well-treated! Both Tignes and Val d'Isere have been awarded the "Famille Plus" label, meaning you can come and enjoy the pleasures of skiing with your entire family in this large, magnificent ski area. 

At Tignes, children can try out their first slopes on the Bollin Green Run (Val Claret) or the Lavachet Run. They can also join the Henri Blue Run, where they can take advantage of a safe environment to make gentle progress. As well as the ski slopes, Tignes offers a range of fun activities, including specially designed areas for tobogganing.

Val d'Isere also has several areas for children. For a gentle introduction to skiing, the Jardin des Neiges is a great choice. It has two play areas, accessible to children from the age of 3 or 4: at La Daille and on the snow front.

On the Solaise massif, you can also discover 4 Val Kids zones, specially created for children aged 3 to 10. These areas will give you unforgettable moments as a family and give your little ones their first experience of snow sports.

And for a complete change of scenery, fun, discovery, and skiing, the Village Perdu awaits you and your family, with its blue Diebold and Criterium slopes. This site, accessible only by ski, will delight your children with its deckchairs and cabins.

Other winter sports

At Espace Killy, some visitors prefer to discover the mountains from other angles by trying out new activities other than traditional downhill skiing.

Espace Killy ski area is well aware of these desires, which is why it offers a wide choice of other winter sports to help you experience the mountains in a different way.  

The area's 300 km of pistes are a true playground for all kinds of winter sports enthusiasts.

Snowboarders can enjoy a boardercross course and modules to suit all levels. Freestylers will love the DC Park, set in the heart of the Alps.

All they have to do is perform a series of tricks to have fun and live out their passion.

Freeride version

As well as 300 km of pistes, the Espace Killy ski area has an exceptional off-piste area. This area is formed around a large number of majestic peaks, and extended routes, whether in the forest or in the high mountains, from the Grande Motte or the Pisailla glacier, with several possible variations.

Extensive and fairly accessible routes, such as :

  • Tour du Charvet

  • The Grand Vallon above Le Fornet

  • Wide, steep slopes from Toviere, Solaise, or Bellevarde

  • Steep, challenging sections from Les Tufs or Pramecou

  • Unknown routes, such as the Sache and Cugnai valleys

  • Alternative, more fun areas in the woods above le Fornet, la Daille, or Laisinant.

Whatever your choice of spot, it's important to remember that free-riding is a sport for experienced skiers only. In addition, before you set off to conquer the summits, don't forget to equip yourself with the essential protective gear, and above all, your avalanche transceiver.

Nordic version

Espace Killy is incredibly popular all year round since the ski area caters to all levels and tastes.

If you're an amateur cross-country skier and you're looking for the ideal cross-country ski area, Espace Killy has everything you need.

Take to the heights on the way to Lac de l'Ouillette, or take to the best runs in the Manchet valley.
