Departing from Morzine, here is a short, easy hike that will get the whole family warmed up. On an eleven-kilometre route, you will follow the Dranse river and the Fox Trail before reaching the Nyon Waterfall and its suspension bridge. Accessible all year round, discover the Cascade de Nyon is a popular stopover for climbing and canyoning enthusiasts. Please bear in mind that it will take you approximately 2 hours and 30mins to complete this adventure.

After a long and steep approach path that will warm up your legs, embark on the Via Ferrata de la Tête de l'Elephant in Saint-Jean-d'Aulps. According to experts, it is of medium difficulty and it benefits from many close grips which facilitate the climb. You will appreciate this aerial route and the landscape with its multi viewpoints of the mountains that are worth stopping by. However, watch out for the descent though, which promises to be steep and taxing on the knees!

The eXtrême lives up to its name: this acrobatic course made up of ropes, cables and wood is suspended under the Morzine footbridge, 35m above the ground. You will never have made such a spectacular crossing. Of course, the course is fully secured with the help of permanent attachments, helmets and harnesses, all under the watchful eye of professional supervision.

Evolve in the air on a circuit among the trees during a tree climbing session that anyone from above the ages of 2 can take part in. There are three courses of varying difficulty to satisfy the bravest. A 110 m zip line, a Quick Jump and for budding climbers: suitable routes under the guide of an adult and with a specific attachment system ensuring their safety in all circumstances. Morzine has become a symbolic destination of the Spartan Race: the most demanding of obstacle courses. Several thousand participants jostle each year to participate in one of the events of this extreme sporting event. Competitors are invited to run across the natural elements (lakes, waterfalls, white water) and to overcome the traps crafted for them by the organisers. One watchword: surpass yourself!

Launched in 2014 in Morzine, the Ibex brew beers using know-how straight from England, Germany or the United States. These classic or innovative craft beers, with fruity flavours and low alcohol content, await you in the brewery shop. Harvested in August, the all-flower mountain honey produced by Julien, beekeeper in Morzine, will seduce the most delicate taste buds. It is strongly recommended to reserve these pots that come in three sizes of 250g, 500g and 1kg as there are only around forty beehives to make this Haute-Savoie honey.

The Mines d'Or chalet restaurant overlooks the lake that is at the crossroads of the Tour des, Dents Blancs and Portes du Soleil trails and the start of the Col de Bretolet migratory birds trail. You will find a la cartes and regional specialties like ham, cheese and chanterelle crust, tartiflette and reblochonnade, Savoyard fondue and raclette.

The signature dishes of Clin d'oeil is a nice touch of the southwest in the Alps. Generous entrees, taste, simplicity, and quality products make up this friendly cuisine, which originates in the Perigord, like its owners Kristel and Jean-Noël. The Derêches park, located in the heart of the Morzine resort, offers a dozen outdoor activities, including horse riding for little ones and adults. Introductory or advanced courses and mountain hikes and biking are organised from June to October, depending on the age and level. It is also possible to hire a pony for half an hour to walk in the park for the pleasure of the little ones.

Enjoy the beauty of the Alps as you ski down the slopes from Pleney to Morzine. No need for ice or snow. The summer toboggan will give you the same experience and sensations. After a chairlift, you will have to choose between two tracks, depending on your recklessness. All can practice this skiing activity in July and August. It is accessible to the whole family, but an adult must accompany young ones from 3 to 8 years old.

Few know it, but Morzine is home to one of the latest slate mining sites in France. Since its discovery in the 10th century in the region, the techniques for extracting shale blocks have continued to evolve. In summer, between mid-July and mid-August, the Ardoisiere des seven pieds de Morzine organizes guided tours for all those interested in discovering the transformation of these rough blocks into decoration and roofing materials.

An activity requiring upper body support and high concentration, archery, is gaining in popularity. If you too want to transform into an archer, head to Arc Mountain for an outdoor lesson. The organisation also travels to your home for sessions with family and friends for initiation and improvement in shooting technique. Each session lasts 1h 20 minutes open to everyone from 7 years old.

Can't imagine what disc golf can be like? Easy: everything except golf! This outdoor practice is more of a mix between frisbee and basketball since it puts discs in a basket. But anyway, it's a fun summer activity that anyone can participate in from the ages of 4. Each participant will be given two Frisbees, one for the long distances (driver) and the other for the short ones (putter).

The Museum of Mechanical Music invites you on a journey through time. No less than 800 instruments are exhibited there, from the most classic to the most eccentric.
