The Bureau des Guides des Carroz offers you the opportunity to discover the heart of the mountains during a half-day underground hike. This introduction to caving includes the provision of safety equipment and wetsuits as well as the supervision of the group by a qualified guide. The descent into the Grotte de Balme is done in groups of 4 to 8 people and requires a good physical condition from the participants.

On a 4 km long track with a 600 metre difference in altitude, come and enjoy the pleasure of a descent in a mountaincart, a small three-wheeled vehicle that is very close to the ground and allows you to feel all the relief of the track. Whether you want to go for a walk or take part in a sporting activity, you decide how you want to enjoy this fun experience. This activity, accessible by the Kedeuze cable car in Les Carroz, is offered from mid-June to mid-September and is open to anyone at least 1.5m tall.

You got it: at Les Servages d'Armelle, fresh fish and shellfish are the highlight, but meat lovers are not forgotten, they can even watch their piece of beef being cooked on the rotisserie which is at the heart of the restaurant.

The menu, rather limited, privileges local and seasonal products and is completed, at lunchtime during the week, with mixed salads and a gourmet burger. Note that the restaurant also offers a part of its menu as take-away meals.

Offered in the heart of the ski resort of Les Carroz d'Araches every day during summer, acro bungee, or bungee trampoline, is open to adults and children from the age of 3 (as long as they weight more than 15kg).

Ready to play Alpine Indians with your children? Take part in a family teepee evening! The adventure begins at around 18:45 with a hike and continues around a Savoyard fondue cooked on a wood fire and shared under a real Indian teepee before ending at around 23:00 with a torchlight return and an introduction to astronomy. A magical night offered every Wednesday and Thursday during the summer and to be experienced from the age of 8.

Try the canirando version with them and you will see that they will be much more enthusiastic about the idea of walking attached to a magnificent sled dog. This fun activity is developing in the Alps and is attracting more and more people, because of the special relationship with the dog in the middle of nature. Canirando is possible from the age of 6.

What could be more rewarding, after a one and a half hour walk in the forest, than to build a wooden shelter using whatever is at hand? This fun and educational activity takes place every Monday afternoon during the summer and is intended for children aged 8 and over, accompanied by an adult, or on their own from the age of 12. It's enough to turn your little adventurers into real Robinson Crusoes!

There is no age limit for learning to work with wood, or rather there is and it is set at 4 years old to participate in this free discovery workshop, organised on the Place de l'Ambiance in Les Carroz. Every Tuesday morning during the summer, the "Bambins des bois" discover the pleasures of woodworking by making various objects that they will be very proud to present to their parents afterwards, as each apprentice woodworker leaves with his or her creations under the arm.

Cosmetics, syrups, candles, balms, oils... these everyday products that fill our homes are at the heart of this workshop where you will learn how to make them using natural ingredients. Like a magic potion whose recipe is shared with you, you will leave knowing how to create effective products that are good for nature and for you. The introductory workshop is offered every Thursday morning during the summer and is open to everyone, from the age of 8.

Didier Bouchet, a passionate gemmologist, welcomes you every day of the year in his workshop reserved for adults to teach you how to recognise precious stones and to appreciate their authenticity and purity. You will study all types of decorative stones, gems, pearls and organic materials such as diamonds, but also emeralds, sapphires, agates, jade, coral, etc.

Do you dream of riding (or getting back in the saddle)? The Corbalanche riding centre offers several options for discovering horse riding or improving your skills. Throughout the summer, pony rides, private or group rides, riding lessons and weekly courses are organised on request. You can improve your riding skills and learn how to take care of your new friend.

This is an activity you may never have thought of: learning to make watermills and rafts on the banks of a mountain stream. To get to this original and refreshing workshop, you'll need to walk for 30 minutes on flat ground, accompanied by your guide: nothing too complicated, which is why this activity is open to everyone from the age of 8. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

In Les Carroz, if you are a keen observer, you will be able to admire chamois, marmots and ibexes, but you will have a better chance of succeeding if you take part in the Mountain Wildlife Discovery workshop. Organised by the local hunting association, it consists of an observation session followed by a tasting of local products. The itinerary and location of observation vary according to the composition of the group, the weather and the temperature, so the surprise is guaranteed!

In winter as well as in summer, the Speed Dragoz offers you a sledge run on rails in the middle of the forest. For even greater sensations, we recommend that you do two runs in pairs, alternating places. One of the runs will be done with your eyes open to get a good grasp of the turns, the gradient and the surrounding landscape, and the other with a virtual reality mask to enjoy a totally immersive and unforgettable experience.

Your well-being bubble in Les Carroz is called Aquacîme. In addition to the swimming pool and the outdoor leisure pools and the fitness area, this spa centre has a Mountain Spa area with a sauna and a hammam reserved for over 16-year-olds, a balneo pool with massaging jets and waterfalls and a solarium. During the summer, the Mountain Spa is open every day from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm, but you can enjoy the outdoor area of Aquacîme from 11.15 am.

The Kedeuze gondola is the best way to reach the summits from the resort of Les Carroz d'Araches. In summer, you can use your mountain bike to reach the Bike Park, and a specific lift pass is available for this purpose. During the whole ascent, enjoy the incredible view of the Arve valley and the surrounding mountains. The Kedeuze gondola is already part of the trip.

Carroz d'Araches, in Haute-Savoie, is also very suitable for the summer vacations. During your stay, discover the Carroz bike park, which has 17 downhill mountain bike trails (14 kilometres of pure pleasure). You can also use the cross-country mountain bike trails.
You can also discover the authentic nature that is the pride of the Grand Massif during a hike. Here again, the town offers several trails that will allow you to discover both the pine forest and the religious heritage of the commune of Araches-La Frasse (oratories, chapels and parish churches).
Your walk (on foot or by bike) will probably reward you with a panoramic view of the surroundings.
In addition, think about mountain sports (climbing, caving, via Ferrata, mountaineering...) during your stay on the mountain.
