Unique in the Alps, the Fantasticable is a giant zip line that will transport you in the air 140 or 240 m high depending on the route chosen. The descent is made at nearly 100 km / h from the Rochassons chairlift. In winter, everything is planned so that skiers can enjoy this minute of extreme adrenaline since they will leave their equipment at the start of the journey and collect it at the end, the skis following a great parallel path.

From late May to late September, take the air to admire the Abondance Valley. Several paragliding flights are available: a 10 to 12-minute discovery package, a 20 to 40-minute long flight over the Cornettes de Bise, Mont de Grange, Mont Blanc and the Swiss Alps and finally, a 45-minute thermal flight, an actual aerial cruise reserved for those who have already made a first tandem flight. If you are always looking for new winter sports experiences, Electric Snow Mountain Biking should be your thing. In groups of 2 to 6 people, you will be able to pedal on the ski slopes of Super Chatel in the morning or Pre la Joux / Plaine Dranse at the end of the day. The outings are supervised by a state-certified instructor and adapted to the level of the participants. The equipment (mountain bike, helmet lighting) is provided.

With 7 courses in the trees, including one reserved for children from 2 to 4 years old (P'tit Kid Parc) and two others for children from 5 to 8 years old (Kid Parc), the Chatel Aventure park is for all climbers. Each course is full of activities, workshops and surprises to spice up the discovery of this site located in the heart of nature in Super Chatel. Colours have been assigned to the Super Parc workshops (blue, red, black) to allow everyone to have fun according to their level and interest.

Isn't a day on the skis enough to drain the excess of energy from your toddlers? We have the solution: take them to the L'Aventure indoor playground. Warm and sheltered from the elements, your darlings will be able to launch themselves down giant slides, slide down slopes on a sled or throw themselves headfirst into the ball pools. The park is open throughout the ski season and welcomes children from 2 to 12 years old, accompanied by adults.

Do you want to learn more about the Chatel village resort while offering your children a welcoming distraction? Embark on the little yellow and red train. Gentle cleaning and massage are performed in the presence of one of the parents. Allow between 30 minutes for a face or body treatment and 60 minutes for both.

Ideal outing in bad weather: a visit to the old Chatel customs office will have many surprises in store for you! Through documents, objects and scenes, you will discover a colourful world where smugglers and customs officers played the game of cat and mouse in the mountains, long before they became one of the largest ski areas in Europe. If there's one thing you probably haven't done before, it's a snow groomer excursion! Two departures per day are organized: at 6.30 am for the morning rotation, with the possibility of making the first track with the tracker, and at 6.30 pm for the evening one. Access is available to everyone from the age of 5. This unusual activity takes place on two circuits: from Pre la Joux to the top of Rochassons then back and from the Super-Chatel gondola to the top of Morclan or from Chalet Neuf then return.

It's impossible to stay in Chatel without tasting the local speciality: Abondance fermier, a cheese made from raw cow's milk that you can buy directly at La Ferme de Barbossine. Corinne and Emmanuel will be happy to show you around their farm and their cheese cellar with, as a highlight, a tasting of cheese, jam and cold meats. And in summer, visitors can extend their discovery to meet alpinists, followed by a meal made with local products.

From early February to early March on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2 pm to 3 pm, Chatel rings its bells. Different types of bells will rock you with their sweet melody, the fruit of an ancestral mountain tradition. This event takes place in the church square, next to the musical sculpture Ars Sonora Frontiere which will, of course, be part of the show. It will jingle cheerfully in Chatel!
